  • WOMEN’S HOME & OVERSEAS MISSIONARY SOCIETY 29TH QUADRENNIAL CONVENTION

The Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society is an auxiliary of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and is comprised of six departments of women of every generation; adults, young adults, youth and children.

The ultimate mission of the Society is:

  • To promote growth in the knowledge and understanding of God and His plan of redemption for the world, as revealed through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit

  • Teach the concepts of Christian missions and provide experiences for participation in mission work and its ministries

  • Exemplify the principles of Christian living

  • Promote the cause of World Evangelism

  • Serve as a financial support system to undergird the world mission outreach of the Church, at home and overseas; as we seek to “Win the World for Christ”.

A General Convention convenes every four years where the body of the Society comes together as a whole in order to elect General Officers, make legislative changes needed to its Constitution and By-Laws, adopt a quadrennial budget and receive quadrennial reports from its Executive Board.
